I believe that the hardest thing about giving a speech would have to be my lack of confidence. Having no confidence means that you don’the have the social skills. Lakshmi Puri’s speech, ” You are the leaders of today”, explains how the empowerment of women, young women, and little girls are able to make a change in the world that tells them they can become great and amazing things.

The hardest thing about giving a speech is when making eye contact. The speech that has inspired me the most was written as a song called babymama vs babydaddy. It might not sound very speech like but it house very deep it helped me see what my mom goes through and how much struggles taking care of us and doesn’t even show it she always kept a smile on her face. But I also realized how much I am ungreatful for and that needed to change and I did well a little, still changing.

To me i believe the hardest thing about giving a speech would have to be stuttering and misprouncing words when nervous. To me the most influential speech would have to be by Taraji P Henson not only is she a inspiration to me but she is nothing less than a women that worked hard for everything. In her speech she speaks about becoming pregnant in college and people telling her she wouldn’t make or even getting to Hollywood because she was 25 and to old. But through it all she received her diploma with her son on her hip. And is now wealthy and famous.

The hardest thing about giving a speech to me is saying what you have to say in front of a large crowd for an extended period of time, whether you are partially improvising or are fully prepared but nervous about how well your speech delivery will be. A speech that has influenced me was from the speech by an actor who finished a movie about comedy to address a social and emotional issue and to me and my history teacher whom I saw the movie and heard the speech from it was amazing, I would wish to deliver a speech sith such emotion and bidy language that delivers confidence and a true heart at mind. I believe it was very difficult to deliver that speech which I found grand in its context. I think that to do so, to give a speech so that actor did, I would have to rehearse or find a strong emotional point in my that could deliver itself from the context in which it sprouts from.

The hardest thing about giving a speech for me is standing up in front of a lot people and speaking. A speech that influenced me was a motivational speech called “How Bad Do You” by Eric Thomas. This speech is about motivating youth about how to succeed.

Speeches aren’t really hard in my opinion because i’m not afraid of being in front of big crowds or speaking to people who don’t like what i’m saying. i am most afraid of speaking 1-on-1 with another person.

  10. sheik on August 24th, 2017 4:42 pm

a speech that has influenced me would be one given by coach dubose . he gave our class a speech and he is a very up beat man.

  11. Courtney Ervin on August 27th, 2017 8:51 pm

My favorite speech is the “I Have A Dream” speech by Martin Luther King Jr. This is my favorite speech because even though he experienced oppression first hand he still had hope for the future of African-American people. The I Have A Dream speech is also my favorite speech is because MLK is one of my favorite activists to this day, he stood up for his people despite everything they were going through at the time.

Speeches to me isn’t the easiest thing to do, more or less standing in front of a crowd of people whom you don’t know and don’t know what they may or may not be thinking. That’s what scares me the most about giving speeches, especially in front of people I am unfamiliar with. If it were a crowd of people I knew it would be easier because I’d know they are supportive and aren’t judgmental.

  17. Markayshia S on August 28th, 2017 6:44 pm

The hardest thing about giving a speech is being judged. I say being judged because what if you never spoke in front of those people your most likely going to be nervous. Also you don’t know what those people think of you . So I say be judged is the hardest part of giving a speech .

  18. sherlecia montgmomery on August 29th, 2017 1:30 pm

the hardest thing about me saying a speech is my voice shaking while i talk or be thinking of what people thinking of me.my favorite saying is the movie is mona when her grandma say you be what ever you want to be.

  19. Aryria Pender on August 29th, 2017 1:45 pm

The hardest thing about giving a speech for me is my stutter and how I say ‘um’ a lot. I don’t really have an issue with what to say or eye contact. A speech that influenced me was a speech that Michelle Obama wrote about hard work and perseverance.

  20. Antonio Atkins on August 29th, 2017 1:50 pm

The hardest part about giving a speech is what people think about you. I think that it is embarrassing to get up in front of a lot of people that you don’t know. What’s also hard is listening to people laugh at you when you’re up giving a speech. My favorite speech was one Bruce Lee gave in that one interview (I can’t find).

  21. Dalton Wilson on August 29th, 2017 2:34 pm

One of the hardest things for me is speaking in front of people. one of my favorite speeches is from a movie called ‘Any Given Sunday’. Its a speech that a football coach gives at halftime when the team is down.

  22. Gerardo Martinez on August 29th, 2017 4:57 pm

Personally, the most unpleasant part about giving a speech is being able to stand up in front of a crowd and deliver a message over an extended period of time. My lack of confidence in being able to stand in front of my peers is not very commendatory. A speech that has influenced me was a speech given by a fellow student. He stated that most people have a fear of being judged when giving a speech because they don’t want to be embarrassed. This is the problem with society today. People are too worried about being judged and overlooked when delivering a message. I believe we can change this by learning to get in front of a crowd and just doing it. But the crowd also has to be firm and listen to the person trying to get a message across.

  24. Angie Philippe on August 29th, 2017 10:12 pm

The hardest thing about giving a speech to me when I move around a lot and mess up on words. One speech that I’m sure influenced other people too, would be the famous MLK (Martin Luther King) speech “I had a dream”, because this speech started a movement to stop segregated schools and other places too and a little bit of racism. In my opinion, feel like it made a big difference in our country today even though “racism rivalry” is still happening.

  26. Carmani Thurman on August 30th, 2017 7:26 am

I think the hardest thing about giving a speech is having to stand up in front of a group of strangers. its like the worse thing ever. most of the people you don’t even know. its like a new artist performing one of his songs on a tour full of people that never heard of them .

  27. Mark A Hampton on August 30th, 2017 7:27 am

The hardest thing for me to give a speech is my shyness. When i get in front of a group of people i think of what if i mess up , what if i forget what im suppose to say…will Everyone suddenly start laughing or will people start talking about me. A speech that influenced me is one that Col Stanley Smith gave to me, he was talking about what great leaders have and what there needed to have.

  28. Majesty Person on August 30th, 2017 10:06 am

The hardest thing about giving a speech is making eye contact; because people make faces and it makes you seem like your not doing a good job at what your saying. A speech that influence me is “life’s like a box of chocolate you never know what you’re gonna get” and it’s from the movie Forrest Gump

  29. Lai'la on August 30th, 2017 2:12 pm

I think the hardest is getting a random topic and make a speech off the top of your head . Also like having people you don’t know watch you and have speeches maybe you mess up on some words they may laugh at you.

  30. Taylor on August 30th, 2017 3:02 pm

The hardest thing about a speech is to calm yourself and trying not to look at the audience and making mistakes.

  31. Kyla on August 30th, 2017 3:25 pm

I believe that the hardest thing about giving a speech would have to be that I feel as if people are just waiting for me to mess up so they can laugh and also my lack of confidence. Having no confidence to me basically means that I have no faith in myself and I never feel like I will do well. Actually it’s not a speech that influences me but more so an excerpt from a book. The book is ‘The Rose That Grew From Concrete’ by Tupac Shakur in the book he states “Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete
Proving nature’s laws wrong it learned 2 walk
without having feet Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams it learned 2 breathe fresh air Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else even cared” he is tallying about people doubting the person who strives to be different simply because they are different but they end up showing those people wrong by succeeding. This influences me because it lets me know that it is ok to be different also that no matter what people say I am the one who controls my success.

Debate of the week : what would you do with a million dollars ?
I would pay for my college & all my siblings college. Send all my family back to Puerto Rico & help all my family to live comfortably so they don’t have to struggle anymore . The rest would go into savings for my future family so we would always be good.

The hardest part of giving a speech for me is focusing and coming up with everything i need to say and remembering how to present the speech. A speech that influenced me is Obama’s “9/11 speech on Bin Laden”

  39. Alexandria Solomon on August 31st, 2017 8:23 am

The hardest thing about giving a speech is standing in front of a large crowd. Especially when they are talking while you’re giving the speech. It’s makes you feel like they are talking about you in a negative way. There are numerous of speeches that influence me and usually they are inspirational and come from people in music or business industry. It’s helps me become the person who I am.

  40. Isis bakare on August 31st, 2017 8:23 am

The hardest part of speech to me is standing and talking to a large number of people . When you to give a speech you also have to deal with people staring at you and that throws me off. A speech that inspires me is the speech that Obama gave about michelle

  41. Khai Mitchell on August 31st, 2017 8:24 am

I think the hardest part about giving a speech is mispronouncing words because you tend to get nervous and talk a little to fast.Speeches my mom gives me influences heavy because I know she’s trying to teach me how to better myself.

  42. Sakari golden on August 31st, 2017 8:26 am

I think that the hardest thing about giving a speech, to me, is talking Infront of a crowd of people that I know. I can speak to stranger because they don’t know me and then I can be whoever it is that I want to be. I can be as entertaining and over the top because they have no idea who I am and it’s awesome. But put me Infront of people who know me and I get so nervous and I get so shy and it’s like I loose my entire train of thought.

  44. Garriona Baker on August 31st, 2017 9:56 am

The hardest thing to me about giving a speech is having a flow when presenting the speech. I don’t like the thought of repeating something I’ve already said when I’ve tried so hard to touch bases on everything. The speech that influenced me was Obama’s speech on his plan for health care reform on September 9th, 2009

  45. Jude Jean-Joseph on August 31st, 2017 10:40 am

For me personally, it’s when I overthink what I’m going to say while also speaking what comes to mine, usually cause me to say stupid things and mess up the flow of my speech. And regarding a speech that inspired me, I don’t have one.

  46. Taliyah Samaro on August 31st, 2017 1:51 pm

The hardest thing about giving a speech to me is looking at the audience while I talk because as nervous as i already am it’s easy to just look away when you’re talking so I can focus on what I’m saying and not focusing on the audience too. A speech that influenced me was in a movie “Hidden Figures” a character from the film named “Katherine” gave a very strong intuitive speech about the difficulties of working in a racial environment at NASA.

  47. Kenneth Black on August 31st, 2017 3:19 pm

The hardest thing about giving a speech for me is that I wonder what someone else is thinking, I also don’t like when someone is talking while i’m giving my speech, makes me think they’re cracking jokes. My favorite speech is “Impose Your Will” by Inky Johnson.

  48. julian thompson on August 31st, 2017 3:41 pm

hardest thing about a speech is people looking at u , and not boring the audience but heres a speech from a move (The aliens have pretty much conquered Earth. The US President has put together a rag tag fleet to go against them. None of the pilots know if they will return or even be successful. President Whitmore gives them a speech to go for it. In the context of the 4th of July, he speaks of teamwork, freedom, and not giving up.)

  49. Andrez Thomas on September 1st, 2017 10:02 am

The hardest thing about a speech in my opinion would be having to talk while a big construction is going on right to the side of you. One sp that inspired me was the way that bruce broke up with this girl in the revamped batman movie that came out in 2003/4 maybe but it was at the end of the movie and I thought that it was so cool how he had done it so smoothly too.

  50. Nevaeh Collazo on September 2nd, 2017 12:04 pm

For me the hardest thing about giving a speech is hearing the audience laugh because it make me feel like their laughing at me. Speeches that my best friend tells me during my bad time. It makes me want to do better and not let things get to me.

  51. Regina Dillon on September 2nd, 2017 12:21 pm

The hardest things for me while giving a speech is realizing how many people are looking at me , also fear or loosing my place my place while trying to interact with the audience. A speech that inspires me is a speech by President Obama that states “Women and girls make extraordinary contributions every day across all fields of human endeavor, including in business, education, sports, art, science, agriculture, parenting, and governance. Without these contributions, economies would collapse, communities would fail, and families would fall apart. ” that speech inspires me because he giving women their props in which many people been fighting for .

  52. Isabelle Altier on September 3rd, 2017 6:30 pm

In my opinion, the hardest thing about giving a speech is the presentation. Most of the time people have the right words and the right things to say and just not know how to say them. A lot of people have stage fright which causes them to stutter and forget about the whole speech. For me I just get nervous in front of a crowd. I’m more worried about, “what if the audience doesn’t get my point?” So from this point I just need to relax in front of the audience and try my best to get my point across.

  53. Jalen Collins on September 4th, 2017 5:15 pm

Hardest thin for me in regards to a speech is speaking too quickly. The speech that most inspired me is “We shall fight on the beaches”

  54. Celeste Holmes on September 5th, 2017 9:40 am

I think the hardest thing about giving speeches is talking to people who don’t care and knowing they don’t care. It feels really bad to talk in front of people when they couldn’t care less about what you’re saying and sometimes giving speeches in debate sucks because of this.

  55. Syniah Allen on September 18th, 2017 9:11 pm

I think the hardest thing about givin going a speech is having to do it in front of multiple people . I say this because everybody is just looking like they’re waiting for you to mess up or make a mistake and making eye contact makes it awkward but looking elsewhere does too.

  56. Robert rivers on September 18th, 2017 9:26 pm

Staying on topic and looking the audience in the eyes. Its even harder if you have a boring topic.

  57. Kamaya Pooler on September 19th, 2017 8:16 am

The hardest thing about giving a speech is when you have to stand in front of a lit if people you don’t know and speak about a topic that you wanted or was provided.

  58. Diamon Thomas on October 5th, 2017 12:51 pm

i believe the hardest is when i think about what everyone else is thinking. Like being able to go up there and not think about what others have to say about you. Its also hard to make sure you have everything on top! making sure your not boring the audience and making sure you have everyone attention .
