Jan. 9 2019, students at Westside High School walked into Mary Maraghy’s journalism class to find out they’ve been separated into two groups based on work ethic.

The question is, is the split fair to the students?

Several students said it was fair as opposed to some who disagreed. “It wasn’t right,” said Nigeria Lancaster, but she admits that she’s more suited for the group she’s in. Alliyah Spann agrees with the split, “Everyone works on different levels,” she said.

“Anyone can move up or down,” Maraghy stated, “It is up to them.”
