what its like to be a senior here at Westside?!

As everyone envisions or hopes that their senior year is the best year of schooling you ever endured. We hope the time flies, which it does and for things to be all about fun but to at least leave with something memorable. We hope for scholarships, long-life friends, and to come in contact with our dream career.

These are all wonderful hopes and aspirations but here at Westside for those like myself its totally opposite. Instead were worrying about the next payment for everything. We have to pay for fun or just to do “normal” things such as homecoming, prom, etc. So we work long hours until we are in overdrive.

At this point most of seniors are over  everything. We don’t care about the next activity, trips, or even if we want to go to prom. And speaking of prom we don’t even have the date we want everything is about what Ms. Collier has in motion which is lame as hell for us because at this point it might as well be her senior year. At that who wants to go to prom in march!

I just feel everything is a rush at this point. We’re just hopping into things without thinking twice about it what so ever. Everyone I know has really given up for their senior year far as in just trying to get by because we’re over events and putting forth effort for those who really don’t care they just want us out of here.

Then to top it all off our grades are so halfway.  We all can’t seem to have respect for each other. Everyone is viewed as an opportunist or either a dollar sign. But to be brutally honest we’re all waiting for MAY 15 just so we can be done with exams so its the perfect excuse to not pop up or some sort of motivation for teachers. But honestly May 27th where are you!!??
