Dia De Los Muertos
December 7, 2021
In many Spanish speaking countries Dias de los Muertos in a tradition celebrated every year. People always dress up, wear makeup to appear as skeletons, and set up ofrendas (alters) to commemorate their dead loved ones. In Spanish class, the majority of students have watched “Coco”. In “Coco” the main character Miguel found himself a journey to finding out what his families history when it came to music and why his family didn’t accept it in his house. In my Spanish class, on the other hand we watched many videos on the culture and the traditions and how they prepared to celebrate the holiday. We went over the foods they eat and the different types of celebrations they do within the 3 days of the holiday. Dias de los Muertos is a good holiday that most Spanish speaking countries celebrate, to honor the people in their family that are dead.
