As Miss Westside, from the day you’re crowned you have a title and a certain reputation to uphold. I knew EXACTLY what I was getting myself into, but that doesn’t mean I knew how it would feel to be in the shoes, until the year started. From the first 2 weeks of school, the only thing I can say is I love it. It’s amazing to have so much respect from students, teachers, and others. I’m always greeted very nicely, along with the continuous question of “how I became Miss Westside?” For some people, that can be overwhelming, but I really enjoy telling my story. Not only that I love being able to help where or who I can, speaking at assemblies when I’m asked to, all things that may make others uncomfortable is exciting to me. I love being a role model and helping by just being me. I love being Miss Westside.
