Every school has graduation requirements , but are they really beneficial ? Yes the whole requirements is understandable , but it is a big set back for many high school kids . There are 18 grad requirements outside of electives and the main ones are math , reading , and science but certain kids majors don’t involve all of them . For example if one student fails their biology test but their major is law studies , because of that one credit they couldn’t graduate with a diploma . This could be because it is not their passion , it can become a whole set back and add extra work for them to become who they want to be in life . Only certain kids can put their effort into what they are truly interested in and i feel like that is unfair that possibly one test could be the reason their whole career has a set back or is down the drain , to where they have to settle for less or nothing . Not saying that there shouldn’t be any requirements to have a diploma , but to pass all the test even though you have proven you tried your best during class session is crazy !
