Lately, I’ve been receiving looks and even some ignorant comments from people that don’t know me at all. I get looked at as if I’m some type of “thug” or “gangster” because of the way I live my life. I believe that life is what you make it, so I try my best to make my life the way I want it to be and I guess people don’t really like that. I am actually a scholar. I  have been my whole life. When you get to know me, depending on the person you are, you might actually like the person I am. I’m a person of morals and principles and I want what everyone else want in life, but I seek to be the best at whatever I do. I like helping people. I just don’t like talking that much so I’m quiet most of the time. You might always see me with some headphones in, or on my head, but that’s for my protection. I think people of this society should do more of actually getting to know and understand people before they judge them because things are not always what they seem to be and people are not always who you think they are. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but you have to know when it’s best to keep it to yourself. For everybody out there that’s going through these same things as a result of you just living your life, it’s nothing wrong with being different. Stay true to yourself.
