Over the past few years, we’ve continuously seen live-action remakes popping up everywhere. From the Lion King to the newly released Little Mermaid remake. There have been many debates on whether these classics should be remade in live action. Many argue that the remakes are solely made to tug at nostalgia, and in return, it cheapens and tarnishes the original project. Overall, the people on this side of the debat feel that these classics need to be left alone. The other side of the debate argues that these remakes can introduce a new audience and create a modern look to the classics. They also enjoy seeing the animated characters they love to be brought into real life. I enjoyed some of the remakes, and others not so much. I believe remakes can be really good if done right.
