Importance of black history

Black History Month was a month to remember the history of African Americans in the U.S. and celebrate black people in February. People have different feelings and emotions on black history month, my opinion is weird and different but neutral. I used to always feel good about this month when I was younger, as it was my family’s history written down throughout time. As I got older I felt disconnected from the world or something as I don’t have a direct lineage and will not find my direct lineage like others, because of the Pacific Slave trade and cause my family has Cherokee and mixed-race people. I always thought things would get better and we would get more recognition, but as I got older times changed for the African American community,  just as my views on the month changed. Still, my love for the African American community is there as a result of the irony of being African-American, as the ridicule and negligence of the community preserve so do the allegiance, faith, and perseverance.
