This week we entered the 4th week of school. The side of having the role of miss westside that everybody doesn’t see is the criticism. This week I faced a lot of challenges dealing with it. As miss westside, it is my job to face challenges and overcome obstacles. But sometimes I do feel that others forget I have feelings as well. When you’re a leader not everyone is happy for you or shows you the same respect as everybody else. So what happens is, that they tend to pick on you, and it can be a little overwhelming even for somebody like me with a tough exterior. This is something that I don’t express as much but should be talked about more. My job is not easy, but as a leader for students and as the face of westside high school I keep my head held high and keep moving forward with a smile on my face.
