With the new live action of One Piece being released on Netflix, I wanted to give my review on the original anime. I’m sure a lot of people know the plot behind One Piece. However, for those who haven’t seen or even heard of One Piece, it is about a rubber like boy who sets off to sea to find a treasure called the One Piece. Originally, I didn’t want to watch One Piece because of the episode count of over a thousand. What changed my mind was when I watched the first episode with my sister and it ended up being really funny as well as having a unique fighting style. I mean, how cool would it be to have a body that could stretch like rubber?

You know a show is good if it has not only made you happy but also made you cry before. I don’t cry often over shows, especially over deaths but I have cried over this show on multiple occasions. Not just over the deaths but over the background stories as well. Another thing to see that I think is cool, is how the animation style changes over the course of the episodes, due to how many years this show has been on air.  The most important part of a review is how the reviewer rates it, so out of 5 stars I rate this a 4.5/5. I hope that if you haven’t seen this show before, you will give it a chance. I personally believe that it is worth the 1000 + episodes.
